Maths Tutoring

Students

I am available to tutor students from KS3 (or Year 5 and 6), KS4 and Sixth Form. I would also welcome adults wishing to improve their Maths qualifications.

Location

I am happy to come to your home so tutoring can take place in the students’ own environment, or I can offer lessons at my own home. I am happy to discuss online lessons too if this would be preferred.

Curriculum

I mark GCSE examinations for Edexcel. I am confident with the Maths curriculum followed in schools, and I have experience of the major exam boards and their specifications from Functional Skills, GCSE to AS Maths.

Availability

I am available for tuition Monday to Friday and also on Saturday mornings.

I am happy to offer extra sessions during the holidays, and can be more flexible with session times, in the months running up to public exams.

I am based in Bordon Hampshire and will travel within a 10 mile radius. This includes Lindford, Headley, Grayshott, Hindhead, Liphook, Wrecelsham, Liss, Petersfield, Greatham, Selboure, Alton and the villages in between.

I endeavour to create an environment where a student can feel relaxed and able to ask questions about the difficulties they experience with their Maths. I would encourage students to openly communicate if they do not fully understand a method (rather than simply following a process) as there are numerous mathematical approaches to solving problems and understanding the Maths is key to long term application. It is important that students find every lesson enjoyable and a leave feeling they are making positive steps forward in their Maths learning.
