About me
After completing my degree I took a year out to save money so I could go travelling before completing my PGCE in Maths where I obtained a Distinction in the Teaching practice component. From there I have taught in a range of settings from Classroom teaching, 1:1 and small group interventions to support students who find Maths challenging, to small classes in an SEN setting.
I strongly believe that students can master the mathematical techniques taught but may require a different approach. This could be that a student requires more time to process the techniques than when taught in a classroom environment, or it could be that a different method entirely is needed to understand the Maths and solve the problems given.
My hobbies include walking my two dogs, swimming to keep fit and reading.
I have a valid Enhanced DBS certificate and Safeguarding Children Level 2 certificate. You are welcome to check the above and all my qualification certificates when we first meet.
